Day 1 in Uganda

The team is all here safe, in Uganda.  We were definitely tired.  It took us 3 flights to get here.  There were 7 different mission teams on the plane.  We had two flights surrounded by teams some with their own with matching t-shirts.  It was unusual to have a flight with so many different teams.   Each team will head to aid different areas in Uganda and one team in Ethiopia.  As I write this all my teammates are currently sleeping.  It is about 4:41am in Uganda.   In a few hours we will head to Bethany Village for the…

Menu reads, grasshopers.  Desert food.  Bear Grylls style.  John the Baptist full of radical action is living in the desert, calling out the hypocrites, baptizing men and women, and holding the door open for Jesus Christ as God’s promised Messiah. When John’s followers question Jesus, Jesus replies with a question.  I think it is good when we are…

Teach us to number our days, Part 2

Day 5 Thursday, affirms the beauty in humanity. When we see others love, give, share their home and or resources it’s worth mentioning. The last supper is in a room donated. God will offer his Son. Jesus will give His body. A woman has given a years wage to “waste” it on Jesus just 2…
