Another year around the Son 2026
May 15, 2026 In the daily reading plan we read Psalm 48 NET
“The Lord is great and certainly worthy of praise in the city of our God, his holy hill. It is lofty and pleasing to look at, a source of joy to the whole earth. Mount Zion resembles the peaks of Zaphon; it is the city of the great king. God is in its fortresses; he reveals himself as its defender. For look, the kings assemble; they advance together. As soon as they see, they are shocked; they are terrified, they quickly retreat. Look at them shake uncontrollably, like a woman writhing in childbirth. With an east wind you shatter the large ships. We heard about God’s mighty deeds, now we have seen them, in the city of the Lord, the invincible Warrior, in the city of our God. God makes it permanently secure. (Selah) We reflect on your loyal love, O God, within your temple. The praise you receive as far away as the ends of the earth is worthy of your reputation, O God. You execute justice! Mount Zion rejoices; the towns of Judah are happy, because of your acts of judgment. Walk around Zion! Encircle it! Count its towers! Consider its defenses! Walk through its fortresses, so you can tell the next generation about it! For God, our God, is our defender forever! He guides us!”
Psalms 48:1-14 NET

This morning Zan and I are in Williamsburg 250 years to the day:
Virginia delegates voted for independence on May 15, 1776, inside the Capitol building, making it a pivotal site in the move toward a new nation.
Our arrival day yesterday was a trains, planes, and automobiles day. The train delay on DC rerouted us, however we were still able to pray in the churches in Alexandria.

The drive from Mount Vernon had all the trees singing with fresh tender leaves vibrantly singing of this new season.

Yesterday from Lynda “On that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city; He sets up walls and ramparts for security. “Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, The one that remains faithful.”
Isaiah 26:1-2 NASB2020

And upon arrival there was revolutionary flute and drums reenactment on the Duke Of Gloucester Street. Do not let the songs and sounds of history’s greatest trust in the Divine Providence abate.
As we approach America’s 250th year of nationhood let us believe God can save a nation. Isaiah 56:1-2 The Lord says, ‘Hold on to what is right and fair. Do what is right and good. My saving power will soon come, and I will show what is right. How happy is the man who does this, and the son of man who takes hold of it! How happy is he who keeps the Day of Rest holy, and keeps his hand from doing wrong.’
Today we will continue on to Jamestown a place of prayerful significance where a covenant prayer was prayed in 1607.
Rev. Hunt’s prayer will continue to bear fruit.
We do hereby dedicate this Land, and ourselves, to reach the People within these shores with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up Godly generations after us, and with these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all generations, as long as this earth remains, and may this Land, along with England, be Evangelist to the World. May all who see this Cross, remember what we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant and in this most noble work that the Holy Scriptures may be fulfilled.
After the prayer, they read the following Bible passage: “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord’s and he ruleth among the nations” (Psalm 22:27-28).
Might America recover what has been lost? A covenant with God in his Divine rule and power keeping both sides of it, with his own blood.
‘Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. How much greater the desire of a godly man, who has been long in darkness and has now come into the light, to tell of the Lord’s mercies to him! Oh! the joy of contemplating the forgiveness of sins! Of viewing the eternal love of the Lord and of the treasures of grace in the promises of the New Covenant! —it is such that a believer cannot refrain from telling it forth with the greatest joy. The Experience Meeting William Williams (1717-1791)

“The priests and Levites got up and pronounced blessings on the people. The Lord responded favorably to them as their prayers reached his holy dwelling place in heaven.”
2 Chronicles 30:27 NET
“If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies. Yet distance makes no difference. He is praying for me. (Robert Murray M’Cheynep. 179)
