Another year around the Son 5.15.25
Read Numbers 16, 2 Timothy 2:1-19
If there’s rebellion, even under the leadership of Moses, there may be rebellion in our lives as well. What God says about Moses is that he’s the most humble man on earth contrary to what these Levites under Korah say: Moses snd Aaron are exalting themselves, hmmm (Numbers 12:3 NET, Psalm 25:9 NET)
How did Moses respond?
Moses falls with his face to the ground and he says, in the morning, it will be known who are the LORD’s and who is holy. Falling on your face is right before God, it’s a sign of reverence. See Genesis 17:3
We go low, low, low, amen!
Prayer: LORD let Christ be the highest and receive the highest praise, let Christ receive all the glory and do the will of the Father in our lives.
Matthew 23:12 for whoever exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.
“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
Ephesians 5:21 NIV
In Numbers, it talks about how the sons of Levi were serving and that was seen as a small thing, (they wanted more see Numbers16:9-11 NET) but in the eyes of God, it is not a small thing –serving is massive. Don’t diminish where God has called you to serve.
“No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.”
2 Timothy 2:4 NIV
Sydney Lund “But in the next day all the congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and against Aaron,”
Numbers 16:41
Lord let us not be those who grumbled against You. Let us remember Your greatness and faithfulness at all times. Help us to remember and celebrate all You have done and are doing for us.🙏
