Jesus in Luke 24:49 will describe the promise of the Spirit as being clothed with power from on high.
The holy we are given is of the Lord and not our own— freely poured out through the Son and a sheer gift. The way to be holy is summed up in one word:
Abide.
LORD we want to live by and honor the sermon on the mount, which exceeds the law and is a righteous life from the heart.
