Read John 3-5
Moses testifies about Jesus. Jesus is working and honoring the Father. The Father is honoring the Son, and the Spirit is a promised gift. It’s all one message from the beginning to the end. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega.
Concerned about church shuffling?Concerned about wanting better numbers? Desire POWER or even just plain results from your efforts? Is the American dream disturbing your ‘pilgrim’ lifestyle?
To this John replied, “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven.
Everyone and everything is a gift. All who participate with anything we are called to do, is a gift.
Even further still pray this prayer of contentment: I have what you want me to have, the relationships, the opportunities, the open doors, the esteem, the respect, the joy, after all the lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. And if it is a season of divine suffering, I co-suffer with Christ knowing he guides me and leads me for HIS NAME. Amen
If we know the gift of God, if we know Jesus, we ask for living water.
“Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.””
John 4:10 NIV
The woman at the well refers to the Messiah as the authority who can explain everything. Jesus doesn’t leave the conversation unfinished. I, the one speaking to you—I AM HE. JOHN 4:26. And to the man healed Jesus finds him at the temple and tells him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or someth worse may happen to you.”
Look at how Jesus approaches conversations. Learn from his encounters. Pay attention to his follow up.
In addition, the word for FAITH is emunah—faith in God’s faithfulness
When you receive glory from men Jesus asks how are you able to have emunah? (John 5:44)
Which is faith!
The word for glory is kavod—Honor Respect Glory Weight
Seek these things from God alone, not from men, otherwise you will be led off course.
