Another year around the Son 2026
In the daily reading plan we read Proverbs 5-6, 1 Timothy 4:11-16

As we look to the year ahead it is paramount to let the word of God shape our perceptions and expectations. This is why we as a community continue to have fellowship together around God’s word.
Luke 17:15-16 NET Then one of them, when he saw he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He fell with his face to the ground at Jesus’ feet and thanked him.
Do not let your life, your daily routine be devoid of thanks. Do you have a place where you thank the LORD? Do you have a time of day when you thank the LORD? The healed man above used both volume and his body to express his immense appreciation and reverence for God doing for him, what no man could do.
I have been listening to those I pray with to hear what the Lord would say. Ashley messaged me a voice text about a dream she had, such a beautiful dream. The church began to give to God offerings, but these were beyond monetary gifts. They gave strongholds as offerings. They were freeing themselves from alcohol, drugs, and the indulgent sins. This dream brought two verses to mind. Micah 6:6-8 and Matthew 9:13 NET.
With what shall I come before the Lord? How did Christ the Messiah conduct his life and life’s work?
Luke 19:37 NET As he approached the road leading down from the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen:
Can we take time to thank the Lord for his mighty works. It is well documented Jesus worked miracles. His reverence and obedience were a continued source of delight to the Father. They were evidence of his divinity and union with the Father. (John 14:11 NET, John 10:32, 5:36, 14:10-11, Acts 2:22 NET)
Then his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “I will once more shake not only the earth but heaven too.” Now this phrase “once more” indicates the removal of what is shaken, that is, of created things, so that what is unshaken may remain. So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe. Hebrews 12:26-28 NET I will also shake up all the nations, and they will offer their treasures; then I will fill this temple with glory.” So the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has said. Haggai 2:7 and I think this also goes with the dream
Could this be the year of a great removal? The incarnate Christ, the uncreated God calls you. If you will permit me a prayerful liberty on the verse found in Acts 3:19 NIRV So turn away from your sins. Turn to God, _____ (put your name in here). Then your sins will be wiped away. The time will come when the Lord will make everything new.
And when we do it’s glory, like the greatest firework display, angels rejoicing, and you are clean, given a fresh page, a prodigal’s welcome embrace and a father’s fattened calf of a feast. You are the temple filled with glory.
For those planning on getting married this year I am praying for the establishment of your union to parallel the eternal love of Christ. The highest aim of love is to give one’s life for their beloved. (John 15:13 KJV) “With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship, with all my worldly goods I thee endow.” Anglican Book of Common Prayer
