Another year around the Son 4.22.25

Read Luke 5:31-32

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24 ESV

In a recent dream I saw a harvest coming into the kingdom, and I preached to them, “God will heal America”

When you are healed it is vital to live for the right things, so that something worse doesn’t come upon you. John 5:14

“See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.” Jesus Christ

Live for what? Self promotion? Selfish gain? The word is clear: Live to righteousness. What seems like an overwhelming ask from Jesus is possible. Consider if we are his body as we are told in the scriptures, (1 Cor. 12:27) and every part of the physical body of Jesus was dead upon that cross, then the converse is also true every part of the physical body of Jesus was raised to life from the grave. You can live though you are dead in sin, you can live. Why? because….

Jesus Christ was rebooted ya’ll like the meme from the Fortnite video game. On the road to Emmaus he opened the scriptures to them (Luke 24:13-35, Mark 16:12–13) and the “Supper at Emmaus” in the breaking of bread HE was revealed. Luke 24:46-47 “‘Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.’”

Repentance is something we do for the forgiveness of sins to really live in resurrection life. And we do it in the name of Jesus.

Jesus appeared not just as a spirit, or a ghost but with a physical body. Jesus said to Thomas, touch me. And asked for food, and physically ate some boiled fish. (Luke 24:39, John 20:24-29) It’s real.

The foundation we build upon is real. The answer to the guilty is the answer to the question DID HE RISE?
And if Christ is not raised you are dead in your sins. (1 Corinthians 15:14-19) And on Easter we say HE IS RISEN, HE IS RISEN INDEED. Christians believe we are a part of his body and we can know with confidence we are not dead in our sins. What a glorious hope. His death however calls us to a lower place than pride wants to go. Acts 3:19-20 NET ‘repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out’

“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭32‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Repentance is a dying to sin, being crucified with Christ. (Col 3:3, Gal 2:20) Below is a repentance prayer modeled from Nehemiah 1:5-11 NET

All scripture should lead to faith in Jesus Christ. (2 Tim. 3:15) Thank you for reading the bible with us today.
