Another year around the Son 4.7.25

Read Exodus 39, Hebrews 7:1-14

Moses blessed them having seen all the work they did. (Ex. 39:43)
Melchizedek with bread and wine blessed Abraham after he returns from his battle with the kings of the East. (Gen. 14:18)
Jesus Christ is our is “High priest forever in the order of Melchizedek” (Heb. 7:17, Jn.6:35,56)
Jesus also blessed and gave the covenant meal of bread and wine. His blessings are found in the sermon on the mount (Matt. 5:3-11), and in physically blessing children and babies (Mark 10:13 NLT) to Christ’s final prayer in the gospel of Luke lifting his hands and blessing the disciples as he ascended.
He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them.
While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
Luke 24:50-51

Oh Lord pray a blessing Lord over our work, after our battles, and in our waiting and our commissioning. Bless us as we eat the bread of your body and drink the wine of your blood.
Oh Lord today will you bless us? So we can offer others this same meal of blessing.

Have you ever prayed the prayer of Jabez? 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Romans 12:14 NIV

Sydney Lund “And Moses saw all the work, and behold, they had done it; as the Lord had commanded, so had they done it. Then Moses blessed them.” Exodus 39:43

Just a few chapters ago they had given up on Moses and God and wanted to worship an idol of a golden calf. But God had mercy on them and redeemed their actions and allowed them to be apart of building and creating the holy tabernacle, His dwelling place among them. And in the preparations, people were giving so much, the builders and designers had to tell them to stop because they didn’t know what to do with all the gold and other materials.
Once the people of Israel saw their purpose, they were all in and didn’t hold back.
We are all searching for our purpose here – some have found it and some are still searching. We can take heart that even if we made a mistake or fall down, God won’t leave us there, He will redeem it and He will give us guidance and lead us to what is next.
