Read Job 37, Philemon 1:15-25
Between Philemon and Onesimus there seems to be a rift for sure, and yet the ice cracks, but does not split. Reconciliation can handle even the master/slave economic prejudices and pains of personal autonomy and ownership. Paul puts himself in between in order to bring reconciliation. He says things like if he owes you anything charge it to my account. Paul is demonstrating the gospel with work gloves on.
“As for the Almighty, we cannot attain to him! He is great in power, but justice and abundant righteousness he does not oppress.”
