Ecclesiastes 9:10 NET Whatever you find to do with your hands, do it with all your might, because there is neither work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the grave, the place where you will eventually go.
Elihu is showing up hard. He is a young blood pumping, wisdom throwing confident male. In slang, He is cooking. “If you are righteous, what do you give to God, or what does he receive from your hand?” Job 35:7 NET What about our righteousness? Is that even the right question? “Indeed, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher like him?” Job 36:22 NET Jesus came teaching and his teaching was not like anyone else. He had power. (Matt. 7:29) He does not parrot words from another. He raises the bar. (Romans 3:23)
JESUS: “For I tell you, unless your righteousness goes beyond that of the experts in the law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

True righteousness is Jesus incarnate, Christ the redeemer. Christ my righteousness (Jer. 23:6, 1 Cor. 1:30). Our faith in the SAVING WORK of God is everything.
