Another year around the Son 1.23.25

Read Job 22-23, 1 Peter 1:1-12
It’s not quite the gospel without the realization, we are the gold, the valued child of our Father, the ransomed and redeemed, the married and beloved! This is the gospel, hinges on ‘FOR GOD SO LOVED’ John 3:16
God sits as a refiner (Malachi 3:3) and yes, there is suffering and trials (1 Peter 1:6) and I realize I might be tested even to my breaking as Job was broken in testing. But Satan has limits, destruction has boundaries. I hear Job’s confidence I will come forth as gold. (Job 23:10) Job says it and THE ROCK Peter who is crucified upside-down says it. And when I do it is to God‘s glory not my own credit. Job’s friends get it wrong. They’re hard in their theories about God. And flat out wrong as well. It’s not our credit or merit which can commend us to God nor is suffering always because we’ve sinned. (It’s by faith NOT BY WORKS, but faith does work.)
Job says it plain —Where can you find God, when you see no trace of him? Yet our location is always known by God.
Have you ever had that??? like where you shared your location but your family member didn’t share theirs so they always know where you are, but you don’t know where they are?
“O that I knew where I might find him, that I could come to his place of residence!”
Job 23:3 NET
And now we understand through grace we have become HIS temple. 1 Cor 3:9-16
Do understand how loved you are? So immensely that God would dwell with you. 1 Cor 3:16 God loves us. God loves us! God loves us.
Sydney Lund Even with this constant berating, Job doesn’t let these words shake his faith in God. Job sets an example for us in this – even when the world, especially those close to you, try to tell you that you’ve got it wrong and twist the facts to make it seem like God is mad at you and punishing you, continue to trust God and His character because He never changes.
