Center of unbroken praise

Jesus Christ’s legacy is eternal. He still does miracles. They are still writing songs for him. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were recorded one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. John 21:25 AMP
Amidst the radiant joy in the recent news of finding out we were expecting our second child, came an unexpected test of faith. “Your baby may not be healthy.” They said. “Our tests are showing an array of missing chromosomes and we recommend further testing.”
What began as fear, tears, confusion, and questions, quickly turned into a blanket of comfort from the Lord, calling us to unexplainable peace and surrender. The peace came from the Voice of God telling us, “Trust in me as you always have. When have I failed you? I have your child perfectly designed and wonderfully made and I, the Lord, do not make mistakes”.
The surrender part came in our response to God permitting all possible outcomes, and accepting whichever assignment he had bestowed upon our future. To approach it gladly and with joy, as we had been divinely chosen for whatever were to lie ahead by His grace alone and his plan for our lives.
We read Psalm 26:2 and prayed, you can test our faith Lord, examine our hearts. To you we surrender. Our way-maker, our miracle-worker, our promise-keeper. Our light in the darkness.
We read Psalm 34:19-20 and prayed for healing. Lord forgive us our fear and deliver us, to you we offer up all of our faith. We pray for healing that defies science, for a miracle only you can create.
We read Mark 11:24 and prayed not *hoping* God would hear us, but *knowing* God was with us and alive at work for us.
We went to our follow up scans not scared, but excited. Excited to see our baby on the screen. Excited for the good news we knew the Lord promised us no matter the outcome but while still praying for the miracle of health. After the ultrasound, the doctors entered the room scratching their heads… “The reason for concern is undetectable. We know this was scary for you, but we can’t find any indication that your baby isn’t perfectly healthy.”
PRAISE!! We thank you Lord for your steadfast love that never ceases! Your mercies that never end but that are renewed every morning. How powerful is your faithfulness! Lamentations 3:22-23. —Stephanie Ritter
