Daily writing these posts has been a challenge. I sincerely apologize for any typos, and late night publishing. This is a work in progress, however the study has blessed me richly. I pray it does you as well.

Immediate blessing comes to Israel after recognizing David as King. David’s first act is to take Jerusalem. 2 Samuel 5:7

In Judges 1:21, the tribe of Benjamin had not driven out the Jebusites. King David is recognized and BOOM after years of prideful squatters the stronghold of the Jebusites is overturned. IT IS THE SAME WITH JESUS. Once we recognize him in complete total authority over our lives, ONCE WE MAKE JESUS LORD, ahhh HIS RULE brings strength and ability to overcome!

David began as King of only one tribe, but once he was KING OF ALL a major shift occurs in the nation. UNITY. TRUST. It is the same with JESUS once HE IS LORD of ALL AREAS, and IS OUR LORD we see the strongholds crumble. The Jebusites taunt in their pride saying, ‘You will not get in here. Nevertheless David captured the fortress of Zion–which is the City of David.’ God humbles. God exalts. Do not be intimidated by what the enemy says. Christ is YOUR KING.

David instructs the way to take the city is through the water shaft. WHO WILL GO? Joab, the nephew of DAVID volunteers. Joab does as is directed, breaches the city, and opens Zion’s gate earning the role chief and commander. 1 Chronicles 11:6-9

The strength of David’s victory comes from the LORD. Rulership, blessing, and authority, the very KEY OF DAVID to open the gates of JERUSALEM to the rightful reigning RULE of THE KING OF ALL ISRAEL.

Likewise EVERY key needed to open the GATES is given to KING JESUS, not just the key of DAVID, Revelation 3:7 BUT HE HAS THE KEY TO DEATH AND HELL. JESUS CAN FREE WHOM HE WILLS WHEN HE WILLS. OH SAY THE NAME, JESUS! (Rev. 1:18)

“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:

These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.  I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.  I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.  Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 3:7-13)

CHRIST IS KING, and there is a NEW JERUSALEM coming down out of heaven. He currently, as in right now, holds the key to open the it’s gates and gives access to who he choses.

Isaiah 26 promises the Messiah’s victory and ultimate triumph, the day when the Messiah reigns over Israel, and over all the world! Maranatha, OH LORD come!

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:

Isaiah 26: 1-3

We have a strong city;
    God makes salvation
    its walls and ramparts.
 Open the gates
that the righteous nation may enter,
    the nation that keeps faith.
You will keep in perfect peace
    those whose minds are steadfast,
    because they trust in you.

FUN FACT: In Acts 13 Paul proclaims JESUS the son of David who did not see decay. Also in Acts 13:23 Paul makes it plain, JESUS is a descendant of David and God brought to Israel the promised Savior. DONE. This unique chapter in the missionary travels of Paul in Antioch ends with ‘And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.’ MAKE JESUS LORD, AND JOY WILL FOLLOW. Acts 13:52

BONUS JESUS is so full of redemption don’t miss this! HE UTILIZES PAUL (the other SAUL) from the tribe of Benjamin, to proclaim his KINGSHIP. UNITY AMONG JACOB’S SONS IS RESTORED. (Psalm 133) FROM our HIGH PRIEST JESUS flows the precious oil of unity, and the blessing of life forevermore to the house of GOD. BEAUTIFUL.
