AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR APRIL 26
Read 2 Samuel 5:11-25, 2 Sam 6, 1 Chronicles 13-16
IN 2 Sam 5 David is doing as the LORD commands him, and it’s working. AND THEN HE DOESN”T INQUIRE.
For 40 years the ARK as been neglected under the rule of SAUL.
Tremendous effort is given in the celebration, David longs to bring glory to our GOD.
Effort alone isn’t enough. THEY NEED CONSECRATION AND TO FOLLOW GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRANSPORT. David had put the ark on a cart, not the way God had directed them to do it. God had it spelled out clearly, the Levites were to carry the ark, not oxen 🐂
FYI The only time the 🐂🐂 carried the Ark is when the nations surrounding Israel were returning it. We don’t use the world’s formula in God’s work.
This is a prime example of why we read the word, to understand, to get to know our God! Good news HE is abundant in mercy, but even still lessons are hard learned when we irreverently approach—eh?
God’s glory, God’s way!

There is no other approach. No other route.
No formula, no religiously motivated effort!
NONE BUT JESUS.
Acts 4:12
salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to me by which we must be saved.
Just as David appointed them to praise and proclaim we too, praise and proclaim!
