AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR FEBRUARY 6

Read Exodus 10-13

Moses rejects compromise, ‘just the men can go’. God will not relent until all the Israelites are free and their cattle and belongings. Egypt and God are not equal opponents. There will be no negotiations, there will be no concessions. GOD has spoken, “LET MY PEOPLE GO”!

In Exodus 6:6 Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. (NKJV)

God keeps his word. He instructs them remove the leaven from your houses. And Jesus will say the same thing in Luke 12:1 ‘Beware of the leaven of the pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

And Peter will write to our generation before we are ever born of the Lamb of GOD and who this Exodus meal is really speaking about. 1 Peter 1:18-22

In chapter 2 of First Peter, he exhorts us by the Spirit of God to put aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and slander. Get rid of the pervasive yeast of hypocrisy. Go all in on the Lamb. Place all your confidence in his blood. Mercy is found in the meal of Jesus for those willing to eat it!

Pharaoh concedes to the will of God under the staggering weight of judgement and grief.

From PATTI on the YOUVERSION APP:

‘Joseph knew and was confident that God would make good on His promises to lead the people out of Egypt to the promised land, though it wasn’t in his lifetime. That is why he instructed them to take his bones with them when it happens. We see here in Exodus the fulfillment of Joseph’s faith and God’s faithfulness. Are you willing to have a kind of faith beyond that stretches beyond your lifetime?’
