Another year around the Son 3.9.25
Read Exodus 3, Acts 7:23-29
As I was contemplating Moses I thought how at his first meeting with God here in Ex. 3:6 he hides from seeing God’s face while God speaks with him.
And then later he will fully immerse himself in the cloud of glory to the point that the people will be frightened and he will have to hide his face due to the light of God illuminating from him.
There comes a fork in the road when friendship with God becomes the highest value to Moses, above his fears, he is willing to be less like his brothers and more like God.
His leadership brings revival to the people.

I would like to draw your attention to Ex 20:19 where the Israelites said to Moses, speak to us yourself, but do not have God speak to us or we will die. (Their request was retold in Acts…Moses received living words to pass on to us— Acts 7:38)
Fear kept them from God, which is the wrong kind of fear.
Moses persists in leading them. Moses is a man on fire for God.
Later in Ex. 24: Then the Lord said to Moses, Come up to the Lord, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and THEY APPROACH GOD in v 9 Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the 70 elders of Israel went up, and they saw the God of Israel and they ate and drank.
NOW consider how our mediator is superior! 1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 9:15, We have an advocate! 1 John 2:1
Through HIM we have access to the Father Ephesians 2:18!
