AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR DECEMBER 27
Read Revelation 11-13

You see lightning before you hear THUNDER! Light travels faster than sound waves. When God’s temple was opened, there was a grand heavenly sequence of noice and sight beyond any fireworks explosion we’ve seen. So beautiful and fierce was God’s powerful display and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. AND THERE CAME flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, and earthquake and a severe hailstorm. Revelation 11:19 WOW, this sounds like Mt Sinai, check it out in Hebrews 12:18-24. These passages are full of lightning and thunder. During Jesus ministry on earth he tells joyful disciples who are sharing about demons being subject to them, how he watched Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Luke 10:17-20 (Isaiah 14:12–14) And here, in our reading, after the lightning, and all the peals of thunder we read about a child born who, ‘will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.’ Psalm 2:9 The child is snatch up to God and war broke out in heaven.
“Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.”
Revelation 12:7-8 NIV
The enemies of God are not strong enough! Revelation 12:10-11 is amazing. TRIUMPH is ours. Hold fast to your testimony about Jesus and keep God’s commands.
Fresh reminder: Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul (Matthew 22:37–38) Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.” Love your neighbor as yourself.(Matthew 22:39)
AS WE continue to read, authority over Satan and the demonic is not the biggest hurdle, it’s more important our names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. YES, the words of Jesus to those 72 disciples comes into play for each of us: Revelation 13:8, Revelation 1:5, and Luke 10:20 are very important as well. And to go through all the tribulations and testing you will need patient endurance and faithfulness. The challenges, and mysteries will call for wisdom. James tells us God will grant us wisdom if we ask. James 1:5
What did the SEVEN THUNDER voices say between the sixth and seventh trumpets? Rev. 10:4 John clearly shows we don’t have all the information about the trumpets, angels, and unfolding timeline. But we do know, triumph is the glory of the Lamb and we are HIS. How precious we are His. How wonderful we are forgiven and loved. Let the gospel hit your bones and make you glad.
THUNDER! IS COMING. THE SOUND OF VICTORY IS AHEAD, we’ve seen the lightning wait for the sound of thunder.
Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces.
