READ Genesis 8-9. Psalm 12

Genesis has doves and a watery cleanse of the world. The Lord and Noah start fresh.

We see a foreshadowing of what God has in store for our salvation too, only one man’s death can bring the needed peace.
In the Magician’s Nephew, by CS LEWIS it says, “Come in by the gold gates or not at all,” and Jesus is the gate according to John 10.

Noah understands the severity of the warning. He comprehends the truth, there are not multiple options for his household to survive the flood. It is much simpler than that—the only way through the coming storm is in the ARK, created according to the instructions given by God. Noah believes God’s warning and acts accordingly.

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. (Hebrews 11:7)

Similarly there is one way, for us today!

We are baptized in water, and saved, by our faith in Jesus. We too are given a fresh start, 🤍and a clean and pure heart!

When we read in 1st Peter it becomes clear baptism is an outward sign of our belief! 1 Peter 3:21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

We pledge to the world, the witnesses, and to God we believe in Jesus Christ.
