A devotional.

Contend for the full story to be written concerning your life.  Don’t let the pen drop.  Don’t break the pencil mid-test.  Stay the course.  Defend the faith.  Evacuate the buildings of sin that are scheduled for destruction.

Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people. I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later he destroyed those who did not remain faithful.

But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but if those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. (Hebrews 10:39 NASB)

But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭39‬ NLT)

In The book of Acts while waiting for the promise the number of men and women dropped- it does not say why but rather some did not remain faithful to the promise.

I recall the room I was in when God’s Spirit came in power upon my life.  God filled me with dreams, awe, and thoughts I had never before considered.

Every room we are in today came from someone’s architectural mind.  It takes the Spirit of God to transform dreams to reality,  promise to an encounter, theory to actuality,  heaven to earth.  Welcome him, wait for him- the promise is given to you and all whom our God will call.  Faithful is He who promised, and I wonder will you be faithful and wait?
