Learn from Christ.

There was a time when God didn’t open His mouth. It was the trial before the Cross. He had nothing to say when he could have defended his life. He had directions from the Father. He would listen and follow.  Let’s learn from Christ.

In the message version: “Come everybody, gather around,
…Come close, listen carefully: I’ve never kept secrets from you. I’ve always been present with you.” And now, the Master, God , sends me and his Spirit with this Message from God , your Redeemer, The Holy of Israel: “I am God , your God, who teaches you how to live right and well. I show you what to do, where to go. If you had listened all along to what I told you, your life would have flowed full like a river, blessings rolling in like waves from the sea. Children and grandchildren are like sand, your progeny like grains of sand. There would be no end of them, no danger of losing touch with me.” (Isaiah 48:16-19 MSG)

It is so important to gain instructions from God’s word. The family you desire, the peace from a life well lived is open for the taking! Don’t you want life? In Titus 2:11 I was reading and it is written plainly “For the grace of God has come forward for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind.”
It is open to you. Grace has come forward.
The cross was done for you. Not because of your ability strength moral high ground or knowledge but by God’s great love has come. God is loudly declaring His heart to forgive and deliver you from all the wreckage of mortal life.

Read with me Titus in the Message version.

God’s readiness to give and forgive is now public. Salvation’s available for everyone! We’re being shown how to turn our backs on a godless, indulgent life, and how to take on a God-filled, God-honoring life. This new life is starting right now, and is whetting our appetites for the glorious day when our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, appears. He offered himself as a sacrifice to free us from a dark, rebellious life into this good, pure life, making us a people he can be proud of, energetic in goodness. Tell them all this. Build up their courage, and discipline them if they get out of line. You’re in charge. Don’t let anyone put you down. (Titus 2:11-15 MSG)

God has given us clear direction from His word. The power to perform His directions is evidence of an active saving grace and the gift of the Holy Spirit living within.

As I was looking at my life this week checking my actions to make sure I am lined up with Christ
another scripture landed in my heart…the verse “you have not so learned Christ.”

Christ is our life source.  In Ephesians sin is described and then clearly declared overrun by Jesus. So let us pay attention to Jesus.  Learn truth from him.  Ask yourself did I learn this attitude, action, behavior from Jesus?  Does this come from Christ?

But that’s no life for you. You learned Christ! My assumption is that you have paid careful attention to him, been well instructed in the truth precisely as we have it in Jesus. Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything—and I do mean everything—connected with that old way of life has to go. It’s rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life—a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you. What this adds up to, then, is this: no more lies, no more pretense. Tell your neighbor the truth. In Christ’s body we’re all connected to each other, after all. When you lie to others, you end up lying to yourself. (Ephesians 4:20-25 MSG)
