AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR NOVEMBER 7
Read Matthew 27:32-66, Mark15:21-47, Luke 23:26-56, John 19:17-42, Psalm 22

Sin was born in the garden as Eve fell in a garden through the cunning of the serpent. And in an olive grove garden Jesus prays sweats blood, and is arrested. And in a garden the serpent thinks he has won again as the body of Jesus is laid. And then the ground begins to shake and the stone is rolled away! LORD Almighty King of Glory! Psalm 22
While Jesus hung on the cross, they mocked him, saying if this is the King of Israel, let him come down. Jesus did not come down from the cross he saw death’s wish and granted an opportunity. Just as Moses with the snakes has a throw down in Egypt, Christ does so with his own body. And in HIM he will swallow up death forever. Isaiah 25:8 The greater miracle is Jesus triumph from the grave and hell with captives in his train taking captivity captive!
He is the king of Jerusalem. He is the king of the Jews. Jesus of Nazareth is king forever.
John Wesley defined sin as a willful and intentional turning away from God’s will and a rejection of His love and grace. Jesus turned towards God’s will at all times.
