AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR AUGUST 27
Read Lamentations 1-3:1-36
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.””
Lamentations 3:22-24
You and I can expect faithfulness from GOD each and every day, THINK about it and also pray for a moment into that! And when you do know you are praying to a GOD who loves you, greatly! You can expect God will show up today.
Father in heaven it’s through the honest and open door of Jesus that I enter your throne room. Jesus has convinced me of your compassionate nature. Father your SON gives me the confidence to lament where it’s hard and painful not hiding my emotions, pain, or facts and to believe the same Spirit that raised Jesus will come through for me, and for those I am praying for. Father GOD I will look for ya the moment my eyes open, till the end of day —exhale 😮💨 as I’m laying down to sleep, no matter the circumstances against us, YOU are for us. Give us a holy witness to those who are watching our lives play out. Help us to show charity, and to care for others.
Have you experienced God as your portion? I pray today we have the patience to wait on HIM.
And when I’m tempted to look at someone else’s portion, thinking there’s not enough for me. Remind me, Father that you are my portion there’s more than enough supply with you. You have and are what I need. So I ask for my portion today. Amen.
