AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR JUNE 12
Read Ecclesiastes 1-6

Laura Schilling “For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increases knowledge increases sorrow.” Ecc 1:18
This makes me think of our times right now. We have never in history had so much knowledge right at our fingertips. Our youth have everything answered right from their smart phone. However, we have also never seen such high numbers of suicide in history. I also think of Eve in the garden, talking to the serpent. He told her she was missing out on knowing more. Yet, she found out that this knowledge brought horrific pain and death.
Lynda Murphy On Ecc. 1:18: The Bible makes a clear distinction between knowledge and knowledge of God. They are not the same thing. Lord today I ask that we increase our knowledge of the Holy one. You promise if we do so we will never be put to shame. Amen.
Char here, the wisdom from above ie JESUS experienced much sorrow and was well acquainted with grief. Isaiah 53:3
James 3:13-18
Heavenly wisdom is gentle. A gentle horse is evident in her display of tamed strength. Youthful force in an untrained filly throws a rider and similarly the unwise/untamed tongue can injure another so easily. Gentleness speaks the truth without a punch of force or hot anger. It is the glory of GOD to apply discernment in how and when to administer grace and truth…AND RIGHTEOUS FRUIT FOLLOWS! The glory of wisdom is seen perfectly in one man alone! WHO BUT JESUS IS FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH? John 1:14
