AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR JUNE 6
Read 1 Kings 7-8, Psalm 11
Psalm 11:4 The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
Have you ever felt like God saw right through you? He sees past every slightest posturing, or hidden hurt. He knows OH YES HE KNOWS and when HIS GAZE is on you, who can even stand to minister? 1 Kings 8:3 AMP so the priests could not stand [in their positions] to minister because of the cloud, for the glory and brilliance of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house (temple). His presence fills us and refines us.
SOLOMON blessed them, repeatedly, and prayed. HIS prayer starts off with how God has kept his word, and it later asks the question, will GOD dwell on earth? Heaven can not contain HIM! Read it for yourself in Jeremiah 23:24, Psalm 103:19, and 1 Kings 8:27 GOD does not dwell in temples made with hands Isa. 66:1; Acts 17:24.
JESUS is the exact answer, to this prayer and others like it. HIS BODY if filled with the fullness of GOD. It’s why death couldn’t hold him. Tear it down and in three days HIS BODY, the temple is rebuilt. John 2:20-22
Consider the similarities of blessing in the sermon on the mount JESUS both PRIEST, KING, AND SON OF GOD. And now we partake in a meal, JESUS says THIS IS MY BODY, take and eat. Jesus took bread, introducing the sacrament and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
