THE LAST WORDS OF DAVID! 😭
The LORD IS DAVID’S stronghold. David knows God as a rewarder of righteousness. He calls GOD PERFECT AND FLAWLESS. David knows exaltation comes from God, and the rescue from the violent.

Joab David’s nephew had been mentioned by David as too strong to control, ie no contrition, no humility, no submission. 2 Sam 3:39 after Joab killed Abner in an unauthorized revenge. Asahel was a fast runner, the Bible literally says as fast as a deer. Tragically the younger man is pursuing Abner, chasing after him and not detouring at all, they while running shout a conversation —Abner says if you don’t stop, I’ll have to kill you. And that’s what happens. Then Joab seeing his brother’s dead body on the ground, begins to chase Abner.
2 Sam 2:26-27
Abner shouts to Joab. You must know this will only end in sadness. Tell the people to stop chasing their own brothers.
