AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR APRIL 9

Read Psalm 7, 27, 31, 34, 52

TODAY we celebrate HE IS RISEN!

Who doesn’t love a good trilogy? Wow wow wow 3 days of Christ’s life are hidden in the Psalms.
Psalm 22, a Messianic Psalm kicks our trilogy off and is quoted by Jesus on the cross. It opens with ‘my God, my God why have you forsaken me’ and ends with ‘it is done’. Psalm 24 is referred to as the Psalm of the CROWN (read it —so good) this leaves us with right in the middle— the Psalm of the LAMB 🐑 THIS is the Shepherd’s psalm sung by a well cared for sheep!
In the calm and quiet of the second day Psalm 23 is full of relevance and rich meaning.
We too can trust our Shepherd when we go through the valley of the shadow of death, we too can believe goodness and mercy will follow us and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. And as HE rose from the grave— shook the shackles of death off, : ) we too will rise.
And when we know this we dance, like David, in holy displays of adoration and glory, HE IS RISEN!
David prophetically authored the trilogy of Psalm 22, 23, and 24, and Christ lived them in all the pain, agony, glory, and beauty approximately 1000 years later. HOLY HOLY HOLY
