AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR MARCH 23
Read Joshua 19-22
How easy it is to feel dismembered from God’s blessing maybe geographical location time or distance makes you feel like you’re not a part of it. But as we read here, the witness/altar was raised up, and they were agreeing though we are far apart we are one.
Success for one of us, is success for all.
Israel was UNITED even though they all lived in their separate regions and homes in the inheritance/allotment given to them.
Joshua 21:43 So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there. 44 The Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies withstood them; the LORD gave all their enemies into their hands. 45 Not one of the LORD’S good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.
In Joshua 22 there is a real threat to unity, a troubling misunderstanding between Israel and three clans, Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh. Their first response is, “THE MIGHTY ONE, GOD THE LORD! “THE MIGHTY ONE, GOD THE LORD!’ And they follow it with ‘HE KNOWS’. Sometimes people speak falsely of another’s behavior, or even our own. Trust it to God. In 1 Peter 3:16-17 we read an exhort to suffer for righteousness. Have you ever experienced the hardship of getting misunderstood? Often even the discerning CAN NOT detect the motives of another. Have the conversation. EH?
May we at Awake live in the days of fulfilled promises, and may we remain united even though I live over in Idaho and many of you live in your different states!
