AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR FEBRUARY 9
Read Exodus 22-24
I was struck by the 40 days and 40 nights commitment Moses made to be with the Lord.
God help us make commitments that we keep! Not like the Israelites who said yes and then didn’t do what they said.
Has anyone in your life said they will do something and then didn’t? How did you respond? I guess God can relate!
Also when God goes near to eat and drink, what a gift it would be to see the lapis lazuli beneath his feet. Oh Lord how great are you! You keep your word to us, you lead us for your name.
There was a meal. And then the law.
The order seems significant today.
Oh to see Christ in his fullest glory!
Christ offers us a meal of grace, before anything else!
“and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky. But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank.”
