AWAKE BIBLE IN A YEAR JANUARY 24
Read Job 10-13
The book of Job is a great balance to the book of Proverbs.
God’s ways are at times hidden from plain sight. He is working and we can’t see. The rebuke offered by Job’s friend further proves Isaiah 55: 8-9.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Job says it himself. Not all calamity is a result of character. Not all counsel is correct. Not all judgements reveal wisdom.
“Now ask the animals, and let them teach you [that God does not deal with His creatures according to their character];
And ask the birds of the air, and let them tell you;
He makes [great and scheming] counselors walk barefoot
And makes fools of judges. Job 12:7,17 (AMP)
