How to live the Gospel

So yeah the gospel is the power of God to salvation.  Recently I learned quite a bit from obeying God and acting out the instructions to just go into all the world to preach the gospel.

If you haven’t gone on a mission trip (or you did and still you may) wonder am I living with the power on?  What are some indicators that the gospel is fully at work in us, in our community, in our small groups, in our schools?  It’s like unwrapping a birthday gift and wondering how does this work?  As we study the book of Acts you see you see habits you see an environment where God’s power is fully on.  Here are two qualities I noticed both in my journey toward Africa and in Acts.

persistence

Act like you came to win, becuase it is finished.  And love like you can’t lose, because whoever lives in love lives in God and God in them. Continue to pursue truth until it becomes tinder to light the fire in your chest, becuase persistence is fruitful.

n. The act of persisting.

n. The state or quality of being persistent; persistency.

n. Continuance of an effect after the cause is removed: persistence of vision.

Acts 2:42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, and to the breaking of bread and to prayer,

Acts 2:46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,

praise

Lean in to praise no matter the circumstance.  Don’t throw away your confidence after you have persisted then give God your joy, your excitement, your fevor!

Acts 2:47 praising God and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.
