Teach us to number our days, Part 2
Day 5
Thursday, affirms the beauty in humanity. When we see others love, give, share their home and or resources it’s worth mentioning. The last supper is in a room donated. God will offer his Son. Jesus will give His body. A woman has given a years wage to “waste” it on Jesus just 2 days before. An owner of a house in Jerusalem gives an upper room. A man will (from the crowd) give his strength to help the Messiah carry the cross. Joseph will give his tomb. He, Jesus offers forgiveness. He, their teacher shows 12 men a servant’s love and washes their feet. He, rightful King gives his will over to the Father. Today, what can you give Him? Who can you show servant love? Who can you give forgiveness?
His gift of righteousness is for everyone. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”

Day 6
Good Friday. When ‘LIFE’ put on death and wore it for love. #holyweek #devotional #faith #bloggersofinstagram
Day 7
I’m so exhausted today we had a six grade field trip to San Juan Islands and it was awesome however continuing an Instagram series seemed like a challenge. And then I got this rad text from Sarah. So today will be her words not mine.
Mans depravity goes so far that it doesn’t even recognize God himself in the flesh and would murder him on the cross. And Gods love goes so far that he would let him be handed over to us in our depravity and blindness. Yet, His love is stronger still. Amidst our attempt to destroy Him, His love proves greater; valiant and unable to be stopped. He burst forth and conquered death and hate with a brilliant resplendence. It is this that we can celebrate and give eternal thanks for. Happy Resurrection Weekend! @sarahstarryeyed

@nwkestrel gave me this heartleaf and it dried so beautifully “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
Romans 8:11 NIV
Day 8
On Friday He said it is finished, not I am finished, not you are finished.
On Saturday, a hopeless world waits. The only news, death. On Sunday an empty grave. IT, sin was finished absorbed in His body, drained dry through His spilt blood. Powerless. The rebellion of sin lay low by one man and HE a formidable foe defeats death. Today know HE is not finished with you. He lives on to resurrect your life too. Sin and death has been dealt the final blow unable to rise. He our faithful champion and victor offers hope to all. To those who mourn, “he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.”
Isaiah 25:8 NIV
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
Matthew 5:4 NIV
