words & poetry

Today if you are reading this I pray you find elysian joy.
You are doing great.

“We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.”
Mother Teresa
When you’re not here you are missed.  You are a miracle.

What you are doing matters.  Stick around a bit.

“Think of how much your mother’s body had to endure to give you yours. How can you look at your body in the mirror and see anything less than her miracle?”
NIKITA GILL, MOTHER (VIA MEANWHILEPOETRY)
Up on the mountain early in the morning the faint stirring of my favorite song calling me awake. An early morning alarm clock never sounded so good as the rain pounding the thin roof.  However upon waking and searching for coffee I missed it’s glory.  The sun woke the day along with the dogs bounding around fetching sticks of pine.  My hands covered in sap or was it dog drool?   Thankful for this moment.  I bless God the strong scent of pine and mountain air.  Bless the northwest.
Snow blew in during our last run and by the time I made it back to camp it had turned to drizzle of rain. Rod iron fire pits of warmth and smoke.  I turn off the live-stream, the constant feed and enjoy the silence from all the stations of static, reports, and frustrations with the news and current politics.  The day’s beautiful order is enough.  Heaven’s volume turned high at the sound of hard rain.
Words worth reading are similar to your life.  Turn the page and start again.

“Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher.”

William Wordsworth

  1. Beautiful. Thank you for taking the time, thought and prayer to post this. I believe your words may help many who question their birth. “For He knew you in the womb… that special place you were created.

He knew you before you were born.
