14 Wisdom builds her house,
but folly with her own hands tears it down.
A dear friend of mine, Jamie Ronning is pregnant and she has been walking God’s way of wisdom. While pregnant and both selling her home, and moving she volunteered to lead worship for our Made New Retreat. She chose worship, instead of all the other million things she could have spent her time on. She let God break in, the moving, the changes, the hormones and blessed the next generation with her love for the Lord. Did I mention this is her 3rd??
Don’t break down- let God break in- His breaking in is the kind we need.
Psalm 119:130 Break open your words, let the light shine out, let ordinary people see the meaning.
May the Spirit break out as eagerly as a wide eyed child on Christmas morning! May His light tear through the darkness and flood the hearts homes (you know of simple ordinary people).
Ordinary: I like that! Because we all feel ordinary at times. We all do laundry, wash dishes, run to gatherings, host baby showers, sleep under the moon’s rotation, dwell in the same galaxy, gaze at the same starry night. Wonder about life, what will he or she look like, be like? Will the hopes of our home reflect Christ?
Like the wise men who searched for Him so long ago.
They search out of the single purpose to worship, not promotion, fame, fortune, or gain.
I am searching. She is searching. Together on Thursday mornings at 6am. Praying our purpose is the same.
Waiting for God’s Spirit to show Christ in our very humble lives.
Romans 8:26 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.27 He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God.28 That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
