Sounds like joy
I am working alongside the musicians in our city, for the upcoming City Wide Worship night. The characteristic trait of these loud lunged souls is their joy. They laugh and then worship, and then laugh. The infusion of humor and humility make for refreshing company.
God’s word- is clear our tribe’s sound is joy. Take a moment to read through the verses about song, joy, and praise. Let’s be a people who sound like this!
Psalm 47:1 (ESV)
Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
Psalm 107:22 (ESV)
And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of his deeds in songs of joy!
Psalm 95:2 (ESV)
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
Psalm 98:4 (ESV)
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!
