Peace

My nephew Kameron Chase has gone from this life to the next.
How can I tell the whole of this event.  I can not fully put it into words the heart ache we all have experienced.  He was 17 with so many great plans.
Loss hurts.  Only God can help.
Recently while at the Women’s NW gathering I was on the team of creative arts- painting and assisting other’s in creative worship.  Our loss so recent when a woman shared about her 17 year old daughter’s death- I instantly connected  to ask this grace marked mother for prayer on the behalf of Kameron’s mom Kerri and dad Mike.

She prays.  Heaven listens.

The next day I painted the above painting I texted Kerri, to let her know we were praying for her.
Kambra her sister (my sister-in-law) and Kerri and Mike set out to capture a sunset.
The following photo tells of a God who helps when love hurts.

John 1:5 The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out.

Mike, Kambi and I went up into the hills. We parked at the end of a road and waited for the sun to set so Mike could take some pictures. The sunset was fairly ordinary and faded quickly. Mike reached up and held the pendant with Kamerons ashes that he wears around his neck and whispered I wish you were here with me buddy watching this. I saw him tearing up and prayed he would have a moment of peace. The sunset almost immediately erupted into vibrant gorgeous color and when we got home you can clearly see a glowing cross in the center of the sunset. Mikes lens hadn’t been focusing well and the next set he took with this pic came out perfectly. This picture is Sonset.

John 8:12  Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the Light which is Life.

We all recently gathered to connect our distant details.  We were amazed at the connections that God had brought to each heart.  I grabbed Mike and Kerri’s hands and prayed.  No longer than the first sound of prayer uttered off my lips and a ray of bright sun-light shone on just the 3 of us.  I thought of the above verse.  Psalm 23 came to mind as well “we walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil for You are with us” or something close to that.  While praying God’s light would lead them forward we sat engulfed in light.  We bathed in the rays of that warm sunshine as prayer poured out of my heart for Mike and Kerri.  Promise filled us.  Right as I closed prayer the light shifted and the room was just as it was before, however we were impacted and will not be the same.  He is with us in this valley and will lead us for His name’s sake.
Live in the love God has for you today.  Walk in HIS light today!
